Field of scientific research

Development of mathematical models and supercomputer modeling of solid fuel combustion processes in a low-temperature gas generator in relation to high-speed RAMJET engines. With his participation there were developed and introduced new synthetic liquid and nonmetal solid fuels with record cold life and heat of combustion, thermostable oils superior in efficiency to foreign analogues. The patterns of heat and mass transfer during the flow of fuels under conditions of destruction were established, theory and methods of increasing their thermal stability were developed. General regularities have been established for the stability and completeness of solid fuel combustion in ramjet and gas turbine engines.

Author and co-author of more than 450 publications, including 25 monographs, textbooks and tutorials, 50 patents.

Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences, full member of the Russian and International Engineering Academies,

Member of the RAS Scientific Council on Сombustion and Explosion, the RAS National Committee on Heat and Mass Transfer, Scientific Councils of the Department of Chemistry and Material Sciences and the Department of Energy, Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering and Control Processes of the RAS. Member of the dissertation councils of CIAM, MPEI, Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
