The peer-reviewed scientific-technical journal “Pozharnaya bezopasnost’/Fire Safety” (ISSN 2411-3778; eISSN 2782-3199) is registered by the State Press Committee of the Russian Federation, registration certificate No. 017706.
The founder: All-Russian Research Institute for Fire Protection of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (FGBU VNIIPO EMERCOM of Russia).
The journal is published since 1998 quarterly and distributed throughout Russia and other countries.
The publication’s academic concept is to create a scientific and information space reflecting the state of researches of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of fire safety. The journal provides a platform for authors to share their ideas with a wide audience of professionals, and an opportunity for readers to keep abreast of relevant issues in the field of fire safety.
The journal publishes scientific articles and information materials that contain results of scientific research and tests in the field of fire safety on the scientific specialty 05.26.03 “Fire and industrial safety” (technical sciences) in various branches of industry (chemical, petrochemical, timber, woodworking, pulp and paper, light, construction, mining, metallurgical, power, transport, etc.). The journal also publishes methodical and legal documents, orders and decrees of EMERCOM of Russia, as well as reviews, comments, reference materials etc.
Authors: scientists and practical experts, lecturers of leading Russian universities, applicants for scientific degrees, young professionals from Russia and other countries.
Readership of the journal: fire service managers and officers, researchers and practitioners in the field of fire safety, managers and specialists of enterprises producing fire-technical and fire-hazardous production and providing appropriate services, as well as the executives and specialists ensuring fire safety of enterprises for common industrial purpose, building and other organizations.

In the “Official Column” there are published new legal acts and regulations in the field of fire safety;
Section “Scientific and Technical Developments” includes research papers devoted to investigation in various aspects of fire safety, development of means for fire extinguishment and prevention. Both prominent scientists and graduate students (doctoral candidate) defending candidate (doctoral) theses are the authors of the papers;
Section “Experience Exchange, Problems and Judgments” contains materials concerning the practical application of research results, as well as the adoption of advanced domestic and foreign experience in the field of fire fighting;
Section “Fire Statistics” provides operative statistic information about fires, damage, fatalities and injuries from fires;
Section “Information” contains information and reference materials including the price list for publications of FGBU VNIIPO EMERCOM of Russia.
Articles are published in Russian with an extended English-language abstract. The reference list is duplicated in Roman alphabet with translation into English. Caption texts and tables are provided in two languages.
