Field of research

Developed physical and theoretical foundations for designing thermal protection systems of special-purpose power plants; mathematical models and methods of predictive modeling of thermal regimes and reliability analysis of electronic equipment; created a theory of heat and mass transfer in heat pipes based on spatial nonlinear non-stationary models; solved a group of problems of the theory of heat and mass transfer in heat-protective coatings under conditions of their deformation; developed a new approach to the analysis of heat energy losses during its transport and distribution in heat supply systems for various purposes; solved a group of heat and mass transfer problems during high-temperature processing of structural materials in order to strengthen their surface layers as a result of exposure to local energy sources; created the basic elements of the theory of heat and mass transfer, phase transformations and chemical reaction when extinguishing large forest fires by droplet flows of water, solutions, emulsions and suspensions based on it.
